About Us

Calibration Research and Accreditation operates the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's NVLAP-accredited ionizing radiation laboratory. The laboratory is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) to perform NIST-traceable dosimeter and instrument irradiations and to calibrate radiation detection instruments. CR&A provides a wide variety of services to DOE, other government agencies, and commercial and private clients. Services provided include calibrating radiation detection instruments for use as transfer standards, evaluating dosimeter response to assist in developing dosimeter algorithms, and supporting routine quality control programs by providing high quality, traceable irradiations.
